Help getting a job in interior design in the uk?

When i leave school i would like to get a job in interior design.
But i dont know how to get started. I have been looking on the web for firm that could hire me? but i cant find any.(in glasgow east.)
And i dont know how else to get a job in this. i was thinking maybe shops - like B&Q - might hire people to design the 'stall' things they have, were its like separate kitchens etc. but i dont think they do. so any help would be great.
