| MLM does not work for 99% of participants because MLM is mathematically designed so only the top 1% of participants even make a profit. Work it out on paper. Keep in mind, because the commissions paid out are so high (to the top 1%), the price of the product involved has to be so expensive that it becomes impossible to resell as a distributor. MLMs require you to purchase the product in order to be "eligible" for commission. This is known as "Pay to Play". Because you cannot resell the product, it piles up.
